Rebecca’s bushfire escape

RentCover Business Relationship Executive Rebecca Holdsworth’s maternity leave got off to a bumpy start in the recent bushfires.

She was forced to evacuate her Blue Mountains home, with her newborn, her four-year-old and dogs in tow, while her fireman husband was out battling the blazes.

Rebecca was unable to rush to the safety of her parents’ home as they lived nearby and were also evacuated.

In a text to RentCover Sharon Fox-Slater, Rebecca said she was terrified during the fires which seemed to go on like a never-ending nightmare.

We’re relieved that the danger seems to have abated for now and Rebecca and her family are safely back home.
