Wayne spearheads EBM’s move into South Australia
Highly regarded local real estate professional Wayne Johnson will spearhead expansion of EBM’s RentCover division into South Australia.

As Executive Relationship Manager, Wayne will have a hands-on role in the growth of RentCover in the State, where EBM already has a solid base of longstanding clients.

“I’m looking forward to offering South Australian property managers an innovative range of insurance options developed over 20 years and backed by the unparalleled service of EBM’s exceptional professional team,” he said.

“I can say that with confidence after seeing the policy and claims teams in action and watching how far they will go to support clients and surpass their expectations.

“EBM is Australia’s leading privately owned insurance broker and the company’s RentCover division protects over 120,000 residential properties throughout Australia.”

Wayne’s new role comes more than 30 years after he started as a “desk boy” at a country real estate agency. He conducted his first auction, unexpectedly, at the age of 19 and achieved his first real estate sale by the time he turned 21.

“The agency’s auctioneer was called away a short notice due to family illness, so I had to conduct the auction on behalf of the Public Trustee. The sale included the property and its contents with over 400 items,” he said.

Wayne went on to establish and build his own real estate agency – with three offices and significant rental portfolios – which he sold before working in commercial real estate. Wayne also personally designed agentprofitplanner software, and will continue to oversee its development.

Later, in his national role with Century 21 Real Estate, Wayne was given the opportunity to join EBM, Century 21’s preferred landlord insurance provider.

Outside of work, Wayne enjoys spending time with his wife and their young adult children, eating out, playing golf and travelling.
