EBM Insurance Brokers plan for exciting new chapter
After years of careful and considered succession planning, EBM has announced a trio of management specialists who will share the helm when longstanding Managing Director Jeff Adams retires, at the end of 2014.
EBM founder and Executive Chairman, Alan Bishop, said careful planning would ensure a seamless business-as-usual transition for the company’s valued clients.
“The new team comprises longstanding members of EBM’s senior management who are all highly talented and committed insurance and risk management professionals,” he said.
“The group has worked closely together for many years, and they share a common vision for EBM’s future.
“I have every confidence that EBM and its clients are in safe and capable hands and poised for an exciting new phase.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Jeff for almost 30 years of service and to wish him well in retirement.
“He has made a huge contribution in turning EBM into Australia’s leading privately owned and operated insurance broker, with 200 staff in nine offices around the country.”
Jeff’s wisdom and expertise will not be lost to EBM; he will become a Non-Executive Director on the company’s Board and act as an Executive Consultant.
- Sharon Fox-Slater will be appointed Executive General Manager leading those parts of EBM’s business that are dedicated to landlords and the real estate industry.
- Ward Dedman will be the Managing Director responsible for EBM’s future development and growth.
- Steve Sparkes will be appointed Managing Director and will look after the insurance broking and risk management side of the business.
