Employee RobertsThe perfect fit.

For Lauren Roberts taking up a role with RentCover was “a perfect fit” and since joining the team in March this year she hasn’t looked back.

After graduating from university with a degree in finance and urban planning, Lauren worked in retail and then for an affordable housing investment firm. It was while working at the affordable housing company that she heard about EBM and was impressed by the firm’s reputation. So when the chance to work for RentCover came up, the timing was perfect.

“I was between jobs and trying to figure out the career path I wanted to pursue. I already had an interest in insurance as it is a large part of the financial services industry and knew about EBM’s great reputation. RentCover seemed a perfect fit as I had a lot of customer service experience, administration skills and a relevant field of study in finance,” explained the Client Services Consultant in our Perth office.

“The opportunities in RentCover were a major attraction, being able to gain further understanding of the industry and progress my studies and training with first-hand experience in insurance.”

But it wasn’t just that RentCover was recognised as “a market leader for landlord and tenant insurance” that attracted Lauren to the role, but also the team environment and culture.

“The culture at EBM was also appealing as the company is heavily involved with community support and contributing to society,” she said.

As the Client Services team is often the first point of contact for clients, Lauren takes pride in professionally representing RentCover by providing excellent customer service and sound information.

Approaching each day as a new challenge, Lauren is taking great satisfaction in “learning and doing something different every day”.

Lauren enjoys her down time “with good company, mostly over food!” It’s lucky that she also hits the gym for group fitness classes a few times a week, as she’ll need the cardio training for her six-week trip later this year along North America’s east coast.

“I am looking forward to experiencing the icy conditions that Perth doesn’t usually experience and hoping it will snow,” she said.
