Insurance career a good bet
Making the switch from retail to insurance has proved a winning decision for Tracsell Mathanda. And while moving to an office-based role has provided a welcome change from the fluctuating retail sector, it was the opportunities that RentCover afforded that drew Tracsell to our Perth team.
“I had achieved the goals I set out to achieve and was looking for a new challenge,” explained the Client Services Consultant.
“Career progression and recognition of hard work are key things that I was looking for in a company. During my interview I heard a lot about the opportunities on offer through RentCover and having been here a few months I can see they are willing to deliver on the promises made.”
Delivering on promises is something that Tracsell not only sees happening personally, but it’s something that she sees RentCover doing for clients every day.
“I think clients choose RentCover not only because we offer them a product which is well regarded in the market, but we also share our knowledge with them when they contact us and we guide them through the steps they need to take to resolve their issue. It is really rewarding when you can assist them and they thank you for being so helpful,” Tracsell said.
Tracsell is also quick to point out that her days are never boring either. “There is so much to this industry and it is forever evolving,” she said.
“I enjoy the fast-paced days and the variety of the work the position offers. The team I work with in the Perth office are a fun group of people and we all get along, it’s a happy work environment.”
Away from the office, Tracsell prefers things less fast-paced, and she describes herself as a quiet homebody. “I like to bake cakes and slices, read a good book or enjoy a glass of wine and a nice dinner with my family or friends”.
Despite this, there are weekends that are more action-packed. “My partner breeds and races horses, so sometimes my weekends see me at the trots hoping our horse wins!”
Regardless of success on the field, Tracsell’s thinks her move into insurance has been a winner.
